Canada by Choice

The Queen Frederica crosses the Northern Atlantic in the 1950's. Completed in graphite, Staedtler Marker and acrylic paint. This is truly a mixed media piece as it is done on a copy of an antique map. The map I purchased, scanned and produced Giclée prints to use for this and future pieces.

The original was done a private commission commemorating the emigration of a friend's father leaving Italy and coming to Canada to start a new life.
