Huginn & Muninn

This set of original graphite drawings follows a previous one that I finished after my Artist in Residency at Canada's Glacier National Park. That piece titled "The Sentry" is currently with the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre.

These two however were completed for my love of the Viking Lore and history of their battles throughout England. Odin, the All Father rules over Valhalla where all vikings wish to go after death. It is said that Odin had with him two ravens, Huginn representing 'memory' and Muninn who represents 'thought'. They would go out and explore the world and report back to Odin what they saw and heard.

Prints are available as a set for $ 375.00 Cdn and the original set retails for $ 3000.00 Cdn. The originals are professionally framed in black wood, artist plex-glass and each has an original viking drawing on the matt. Huginn has a viking ship and Muninn has a war axe.
